We are seeking a full-time, Behavior Consultant III for our Dauphin Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Program. This is an opportunity to join the region's largest non-profit behavioral health care organization.

Highlights about employment as a Behavior Consultant III with WellSpan Philhaven:

General Summary:

Conduct descriptive and systematic behavioral assessments, including functional analyses, and provides behavior analytic interpretations of the results. Designs and supervises behavior analytic interventions. Is able to effectively develop and implement appropriate assessment and intervention methods for use in unfamiliar situations and for a range of cases. Teaches others to carry out ethical and effective behavior analytic interventions based on published research and designs and delivers instruction in behavior analysis. Supervise the work of Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts (BCaBA) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) and others who do not carry a Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) certification that implement behavior analytic interventions if they are not certified.

Department Description:

The Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Service (BHRS) is a medically prescribed and individualized mental health service delivered in the home, school and community. These services are supportive, time-limited, one-to-one planned behavioral health interventions. They involve both student and family, as directed by a treatment plan. We serve children with a mental health diagnosis who are between the ages of 3 and 21.

Required Skills

+ Analytical skills are necessary for the collection and assessment of psychosocial data, interpretation of these data and the ongoing review of treatment efficiency and effectiveness.

+ Ability to observe patient behavior and dynamics in order to prepare and review written documentation as required.

+ Knowledge of and ability in the care and management of the unique needs of children and adolescents with developmental disorders.

+ Must demonstrate a strong professional interest in being a part of a multidisciplinary team that specializes in the assessment and treatment of the social, emotional and behavioral needs of children and adolescents with developmental disorders such as mental retardation and the autism spectrum disorders.

+ Must be able to provide own transportation from one client to another.

Required Experience

+ A master's degree in clinical or counseling psychology or a master's of social work.

+ Course work in Behavioral Modification Techniques is preferred.

+ Licensure required: LBS, LPC, LSW, LCSW or LMFT.

+ BCBA certification

+ At least 1.5 years of experience in providing behavioral modification services to children and adolescents and experience in developing/implementing behavioral modification treatment plans.

+ Interpersonal verbal and listening skills are required to communicate effectively with patients and families and with other inter-agency team members.

+ Must have valid driver's license and qualify for WellSpan Philhaven driving privileges.

+ Must obtain PA drivers' license in accordance with PA laws if license upon hire is out-of-state.
